It smells like lemon and dissolves well in water. There is a faint aroma after washing but only if hands are near face. I bought this for a summer travel trip but feel like I will keep for everyday use in whatever purse/fanny pack/backpack I happen to have. You never know when a place has that nasty weird soap that makes your hands dry after use or even no soap at all. I especially appreciate the metal container that is more sustainable than regular plastic. The only thing that would make this product more perfect is if there was a refill option where I get a deck sized recyclable box to refill the containers I already have.
